Visions in the Haze (A Fantasy for Piano)
by
Dan Locklair (b. 1949)
For its construction, Visions in the Haze extends the principle of rondo form; for its being, it is a musical reflection on the following original poem:
Through the haze of the morning eyes
Tears dampen in remembrance
Of nights gone by, of days begun,
Of life that darkened, of Light that triumphed.
There are visions in the haze.
Visions in the Haze was composed in 1982 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is dedicated to my wife, Paula.
