Jubilate Deo, whose text is Psalm 100, was originally commissioned in 1979 by the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca, New York (W.C. Koon, Jr., Music Director). Composed in Binghamton, New York during February 1979, Jubilate Deo was revised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina during January 1997 with the valuable assistance of a consortium commission from the following:
